About Food Ideals Online Recipie ArchiveFood Ideals is a celebration of all things culinary. Our passion is eating as our expanding waistlines are here to testify to. Good food is not a luxury but a necessity in today’s hectic schedule. How can we be expected to communicate well with others if our stomachs are empty or full of tasteless rubbish? This is our belief.
Being born to a family of Italian descent I grew up with the idea that cooking and eating were central to entertaining. In addition to this my father worked in the restaurant trade so I thought it normal to sit down for long family meals which could easily take most of the day. Growing up, my passion for food and cooking has only grown stronger and now I spend most of my leisure time either cooking, growing or eating food.
It is with great satisfaction I see that my son has inherited my passion for food and although he is not as willing as an adult to try new things he has certainly a quite diverse palate. At weekends we quite often will spend an afternoon making fresh pasta or making a hearty stew to be eaten the following week. If children learn at an early age that cooking is not a chore but something to be enjoyed the next generation will grow up enjoying good food and the fast food chains will be forced into supplying a proper meal to the public.
Many people that they do not have the time to cook when they get home. This is simply not the case and hopefully through this website we will be able to convey this message across. Simple food cooked well is as nice as elaborate food.
With the summers getting warmer the possibilities for the adventurous chef are limitless. Cold meats and salads are perfect for a summer picnic combine these with a tub of home made coleslaw, a some pate and a few refreshments and you have the makings of an impromptu feast.
The greatest inspiration / critic / sampler / suggester / contributor and without who this site would not be possible is my wife Karen who has tolerated the faddy menus, sampled the failures, rejoiced in the successes and continued to bring me down to earth.
Any success you have be sure to jot the recipie down and mail it to us. Once we have tried the recipie ourselves we will include on the site. Happy Eating............
